 My parents taught me how to love and how to forgive. Jesus surely smiled on my life, when I was born with the gift of having Howard and Vestal Goodman as my parents. His love radiated to others, through their personal relationship with Him, and His love was reflected on anyone that ever came in contact with them. Whether it was in person, or by hearing them through the great gift that God gave them, they could touch many lives with their extraordinary musical interpretation of Christ’s love.
Gospel Music is, and has always been, one of the most powerful avenues to touch the hurting and lost in this world. The message this music carries is like no other. It has the power to change a life that has been shattered and devastated. The notes are very similar to any other form of music, but the difference is the lyrics. The words to a gospel song are taken from the scriptures of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which are the most powerful words that were ever written. For over eight decades, the Goodman family has carried the gospel. Many people have asked me, “What is going to happen to Goodman Family Ministries now that Howard and Vestal are gone home to heaven?” In 1980 I joined hand with my wife, Dianne, and we decided then, to make a commitment to the ministry. Since that day, we stood beside Mom and Dad and have moved Goodman Family Ministries forward. Today the torch has been passed to us, and we are more determined than ever to continue the journey that was started many years ago. You will find product in the store that are truly timeless treasures on both audio video, there will be new releases coming that are exclusive to this sites store! A Gospel song was never just a song to my parents. It was the Holy Word of God, set to a melody that captivated your very soul with His Message, and at that very moment, you knew Christ loved you and you were very special to Him. The mission of Goodman Family Ministries is to carry the Gospel of Christ, to lift up one another, to spread the Good News that Jesus Saves, Heals & Delivers! Through the years, my parents' goal was never a personal agenda. It was always to lift up Jesus and see His kingdom established.
